Where we Work

RISE Anew began its journey in Uganda, focusing on communities where young people face the steepest barriers to opportunity.

With over 73% of the population under 30—and more than half unemployed or in the NEET category (Not in Education, Employment, or Training)—the need for change is urgent.

Our work is rooted in areas like Gulu and the Acholi sub-region, where youth in urban slums and rural villages often lack access to training, mentorship, and resources. By partnering with communities, we equip young women and men with life skills, entrepreneurial capacity, and leadership confidence—bridging the gap between talent and opportunity.

Looking ahead, we envision Uganda not just as our base but as a hub for regional impact. We plan to expand into underserved districts across Uganda and extend support to South Sudan, Sudan, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Rwanda—regions where youth remain both the greatest hope and the greatest need.
