Who we are

Resilient Initiatives for Socio-economic Empowerment (RISE Anew) is a Pan-African, grassroots initiative registered in Uganda. We are committed to advancing dignity, economic self-reliance, and resilience among underserved communities—starting with women and youth who have the passion and potential to drive change.

Founded by an experienced humanitarian professional with decades of service across Africa and Asia, RISE Anew was born out of a conviction: lasting transformation happens when people are given the tools, skills, and opportunities to shape their own futures.

We are beginning our journey in Uganda—starting small but strong. By working hand-in-hand with individuals, local leaders, and community networks, we create pathways for economic empowerment, quality education, and social inclusion in regions where opportunity is scarce but ambition runs deep.

Why Uganda

Uganda is a nation of incredible potential, rich in culture, and blessed with a vibrant, youthful population. Yet behind the beauty lies a stark reality: over 80% of the population is under 30, and more than half of them face unemployment or underemployment. Many young people, especially women, are trapped in cycles of poverty—not due to lack of talent or ambition, but because of limited access to skills training, education, and opportunities.

At RISE Anew, we believe this challenge is also Uganda’s greatest opportunity. By equipping youth and women with practical skills, entrepreneurial tools, and the confidence to lead change, we can transform communities from the ground up. Empowerment, not dependency, is the key to unlocking Uganda’s future—one young person, one business, and one community at a time.

Our Founder: Prince Nehemiah is a seasoned humanitarian and emergency aid professional who has served in some of the world’s most challenging contexts—including Afghanistan, South Sudan, Uganda, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Nigeria, and Cameroon.

Through years of frontline experience, Prince witnessed a powerful truth: even in the heart of crisis, people are resourceful, determined, and eager to rebuild their lives.

This realization challenged the traditional humanitarian model of prolonged aid dependency. Instead of waiting for stability before introducing recovery programs, Prince pioneered early recovery within the crisis phase—helping communities access the tools, training, and opportunities needed to take charge of their own recovery.

From this vision, RISE Anew—Resilient Initiatives for Socio-economic Empowerment

was born. Today, the organization works to equip marginalized youth and women with:

  • Practical skills that open doors to sustainable livelihoods

  • Entrepreneurship opportunities that create income and local jobs

  • Networks and mentorship that strengthen community resilience

We believe that empowerment, not dependency, is the foundation for lasting change—turning survival into stability, and stability into growth.”-Prince Nehemiah
