What We Do

At RISE Anew , we believe in turning potential into opportunity. Our work focuses on youth and women—especially those who face barriers of poverty, limited education, or social expectation. We know that when given the right skills, resources, and encouragement, they can transform not only their own lives but also their communities.

Our programs are built around three pillars:

  • Skills & Livelihoods Training – equipping young people and women with practical, income-generating skills.

  • Entrepreneurship & Small Business Support – helping individuals start and grow sustainable businesses.

  • Education & Leadership Development – fostering personal confidence and community leadership.

Lives We’re Uplifting

At RISE Anew, we don’t just design programs—we walk alongside individuals with dreams, challenges, and incredible potential.

Meet a few of the young women we’ve started supporting on their journey toward resilience and empowerment.

Faith – Beginning Anew

“I lost everything, but I didn’t lose my passion for cooking. With RISE Anew’s support, I can now start anew and care for my daughter.” – Faith

At 29, Faith had faced low-paying jobs, single motherhood, and abuse during an overseas stint that left her broke. Back in Uganda, she turned her love for cooking—especially chicken dishes—into a small roadside stall.

RISE Anew helped her transform that humble start into a mobile food cart, expanding her reach to markets and new customers. Today, Faith earns a steady income, employs another woman, and can care for her 4-year-old without fear of financial instability—a living testament to resilience and the power of timely support.

Florence – A Mother, a Fighter, an Entrepreneur

“People looked down on me because I’m a single mother. But I wanted to prove them wrong.”

Florence, a resilient single mother, struggled to support her child through multiple low-paying jobs. Night shifts, irregular hours, and minimal income made it nearly impossible to make ends meet. Determined to change her reality, she used her meager savings to start a small retail shop and Mobile Money kiosk in Entebbe.

Despite facing financial instability and social stigma, Florence refused to remain invisible. With seed funding and dedicated mentoring from RISE Anew, she began expanding her mobile money and retail business. Florence is now learning essential skills such as inventory management, income tracking, and future planning—steadily rebuilding not only her business but also her confidence and dignity.

Her story is a powerful testament to resilience, determination, and the transformative impact of support and opportunity. Florence is proving every day that single motherhood is not a barrier, but a source of strength.

Lillian – Soaring Beyond Barriers

“My dream is to become a cabin crew professional and travel the world. I never thought I would even get the chance to try.”

Lillian is a bright, determined young woman from central Uganda with aspirations of joining the aviation industry. Despite her academic excellence, economic hardship and gender norms made such a path nearly impossible.

Through RISE Anew’s support, Lillian has now enrolled in a reputable Cabin Crew Training Program. We are also collaborating with an international airline operating chartered flights out of Jinja, Uganda, to secure a potential placement opportunity for her upon successful completion of her training.

Her journey is just beginning, and her courage continues to inspire others like her to reach for the skies.

Why Their Stories Matter

Lillian, Faith and Florence are just the beginning. Every woman or youth we support represents a ripple of transformation. Their progress fuels our mission to empower hundreds more—to dream, rise, and lead.

Join us in supporting the next Lillian, Faith or Florence. Whether you donate, volunteer, or share their stories— you can be part of building a movement where empowered individuals create empowered communities.
